pa·tron/?p?tr?n/Noun

1. A person who supports with money, gifts, efforts, or endorsement an artist, writer, museum, cause, charity, institution, special event, or the like: a patron of the arts.
2. A customer, esp. a regular one, of a store, restaurant, or theater.

Art is of a serviceable nature.  An artist creates art.  You consume it.  It moves you.  It attaches to you.  You carry it around and think about it.  It affects your emotions, your thoughts, and maybe even your decisions.  You want to be a part of it.  You want to know more about it.  You want to see it born, and then changed, and then live all on it's own.

This is an invitation.  I wish to create a life's catalogue of work.  Music, primarily, but also all the things I have a heart to do.  Photography, painting, illustration, book making, album art, poster art, etc.  I am dedicated to the creation of music, of song, of visual art.  Unfortunately, our society has put a smaller and smaller price tag on music and art.  The pay for creating music, creating art, even for the hardest working musician/artist (I consider myself in this category) is almost too embarrassing to admit.  The term "starving artist" is applied to us for a reason.

With your patronage you are allowing me time.  Time to create songs, to find outlets for the songs to be born into the world, to build more stability in that song's home.  I'd like you to join me in creating this catalogue and witness the joys of seeing it all come to life.  In return, I'd like to give you a look into the life of my music and into the work of an artist pushing through the ups and downs of a hard earned career.  I want to give you unreleased tracks, skeletons of songs, new studio work, behind-the-scenes blogs and video, sketches from my journal, poems, etc.  Patronism.com has made the options endless.

Patronage is as old as art itself.  DaVinci, Michaelangelo, Van Gogh, Mozart, Hayden.... The list is endless.  By way of patronage, these artists and composers were able to create art, hone their craft, get better at working, and, as history would have it, make some of the world's most beloved art and music.

Here I am.  An artist.  Seeking patronage from all walks of life.  Give a little.  Give a lot.  Let's make some art.  Let's make history.

About the Band / Bio

"People will be amazed that this collection of little, unwanted things actually came from them—from their musings, from their heartstrings, from their places of home and of work. They will most likely try and lay claim to them when they realize how beautiful these things were that they once held in their hands… before they tossed them aside. Everyone will know their claims to be false, but they will try nonetheless. Wound & Will came from Stephanie, from Little Brave, and not from them. The old once theirs will look new, and it will sound even newer. She found them all." - Drew Kennedy

Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Bass, Percussion

Performing since 1998. Performed with friends as "Rodger Wilko" since 2000. Performed under "Stephanie Briggs" since 2005. Now as Little Brave.

I grew up in El Campo, TX.  Went to college at Southwest Texas (when it was Southwest Texas, I like to say.)  Graduated with a degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in photography.  Once off that platform, I took the tassel off and made music my career.  I've been a full time musician since 2002.
