Make Music Happen

The most potent way for people who love music to connect with music they love.

Developing Patronism the Lean Way

To begin, a recent investment company, Next Step Capital laughed out loud when we told them our burn rate, I don’t think they believed us, but that’s what Lean Methodology allows you to achieve.

Our company, Patronism is a web based publishing-platform that allows musicians to create a new revenue stream based on subscriptions, because they can no longer count on CD sales to make a living.

In addition, career musicians have tons of non-commercially released material just lying around their house that they can’t monetize. Uber fans (or patrons as we call them) want and will pay for access to that material and for the first time ever they can.

Patronism connects musicians and fans like never before.

We built this platform using Lean and Agile methods to quickly build out the product. We boiled MVP down to four features.

•    Musicians needed to upload music
•    The storage had to be secure
•    Fans must pay for access
•    Fans can download music

There wasn’t much more to it than that.

We were able to launch in a month in a half, snagging five Austin bands and getting six customers that first month.

Five months later we have had four sprints; each time incorporating critical customer feedback into the next build. Currently we’ve have over 15 bands including a Grammy winner and over 100 paying customers.

Patronism is changing the way the music industry works. We are democratizing how musicians get paid and changing how great music gets funded.

If you want to be part of this new music revolution, email us and we’ll tell you how you can help change the music industry.

Here here! I am the biggest complainer, and offender, when it comes to this. I want a larger more vibrant music community but don’t make the effort to go out and see people I know playing shows. Time to get back into it. auto insurance
