Intro Message from Ashleigh Stone
Hello!
The fact that you have given of your time and efforts to be a part of Patronism says a great deal about your character and your support of the arts. So, first, let me thank you for investing your resources into music an musicians, because the path is not an easy one. It has never been easy for artists, but in this day in time, it is especially challenging. Many long standing entities in the Music Industry are finding themselves closing shop due to the fact that what was once possible and standard ways of making a living are no longer valid, and have been replaced by an industry that really is not sure of a true direction.
That is why individuals such as yourself are keeping artists alive. As you read over my blogs, bio, lyrics and listen to the tracks, understand that this is a serious life decision I have made. I have dedicated myself, from age 5, to formally (and informally) learning the craft of songwriting and performance, and it is something that I continue to rededicate to each day.
The reason is not so much for the money, the reason is for the message. It is the message that music is powerful, it can move people, give them peace, give them a break from the hodge podge of life's everyday challenges. I know this because music has done that for me, and I can't tell you how many times I "played" myself through heartbreak, or sadness, or so many other moments of life.
I am to the point in my music career where I am making funds, but not yet to the point where it is not a stressor each month to pay my rent, or utilities or each of the basic needs that one encounters financially on a basic level. You help allows me to suplement the income I am making, and encourages me to focus on being an artist, all day, every day, and providing the best quality music I can to my fans without spending time worrying about such basic essentials that I have struggled to provide for myself, my band and my son for so many years.
Being accepted to Patronism is truly a blessing in my life, and I want to continue to share this art and this message for many years to come. Thanks for your time, and I look forward to getting to know you in the future as we work together to improve the richness and quality of the world around us.
All the Best,
Ashleigh Stone
About the Band / Bio
Ashleigh Stone was born in the 80s in Lubbock, Texas. Her love of piano was clear at age 5, when she began formally studying the piano. Stone has been training vocally since age 10, and writing songs as early as 8 years old. Stone has studied (academically and personally) the art of dance, theatre, music composition, theory of music, jazz, piano performance, opera and musical theatre. By age 13, Stone was performing original material live for audiences around Texas. However, this dedication to formal training blends with Stone's raw exposure to classic rock and pop music. It is this fusion of genre that identifies the music of Ashleigh Stone and the Divine Anthology. Threaded with lyrics talking of self-revolution, social honesty, and challenges to traditional viewpoints, the music evokes a sense of strength and joy within its fans, which stretch the gamuts of demographics. All of this is packaged in a pop format that is easily digestible and listener friendly.
